Opportunities for IICS Involvement
International Institute for Christian Studies is looking for
individuals who can assist with some important tasks. We
need volunteers who can provide their time or individuals who can raise the support for their ministry with IICS. Each candidate must demonstrate a clear Christian testimony and a consistent Christian lifestyle and be able to sign affirmation of the IICS Statement of Faith.

Photographer
Responsible for: Photojournalistic coverage of IICS professors and events
Qualifications: Able to travel at own expense to overseas locations for visits to IICS projects. Professional photography experience preferred.

Video Photographer/Editor
Responsible for: Shooting video footage of IICS professors and projects on location. Editing video productions for IICS. Log footage. Assist in script development and video production.
Qualifications: Professional experience required. Able to travel at own expense.

Director, Medical University Programs
Responsible for: Coordinating the IICS partnership with CMDS (Christian Medical and Dental Society) as we recruit and place medical personnel in teaching positions at medical universities overseas. Negotiate contracts with overseas medical universities. Recruit medical personnel.
Qualifications: Professional medical background required. Possibly retired doctor or nurse. Able to travel internationally. Excellent communication skills.
Term: Minimum three years

Public Relations Coordinator
Responsible for: Writing and distributing news releases to Christian and secular media (print, radio, TV) on the ministry of IICS.
Qualifications: Professional public relations experience. Strong writing/communication skills.
Term: Prefer a minimum commitment of one year

Speaking Coordinator
Responsible for: Scheduling speaking engagements for Dr. McCarthy and IICS professors at college and seminary chapels, faculty meetings, conferences, missions convocations, church missions conferences and other gatherings.
Qualifications: Excellent telephone, writing and communication skills. High degree of initiative and ability to complete tasks. Ability to pursue contacts graciously and relentlessly.
Term: Prefer a minimum commitment of one year

Grant Proposal Writer
Responsible for: Researching potential foundations. Writing grant proposals.
Qualifications: Experience in writing grant proposals. Excellent writing and communication skills. In-depth acquaintance with IICS and the evangelical world.

Staff Support Volunteer
Responsible for: Assisting at the office with miscellaneous tasks such as mailings.
Qualifications: Able to provide neat and timely assistance.

Donor Telephone Ministry
Responsible for: Calling supporters of IICS to thank them, to provide more information about the programs of IICS and to ask about any prayer concerns the person may have.
Qualifications: Good listener. Pleasant telephone voice and manners. Able to keep current information on each IICS program.
Term: Prefer a commitment of at least three months, involving 1-4 hours each week

Library Collection Coordinator
Responsible for: Coordinating the selection, acquisition and distribution of books in the IICS Christian Research Library Collection which we provide for overseas universities.
Qualifications: Prefer librarian experience. Good organizational skills. Enjoys working with books. Able to work with publishers. Able to solicit and screen donated books. Good theological background and knowledge of Christian worldview issues.
Term: When needed.
Location: Within driving distance of the IICS office in Overland Park, Kansas

Research Assistant
Responsible for: Filing research materials related to Christian worldview and Christians in academe.
Qualifications: Good background knowledge in Christian worldview and related issues. Able to evaluate, summarize and file materials with consistency and accuracy.
Term: Prefer a commitment of at least three months, involving 10-20 hours/week

Conference Representative
Responsible for: Representing IICS at various churches, conferences and conventions such as denominational conferences, Christian professional conferences, etc. This will involve both academic as well as popular conferences.
Qualifications: Good communication skills. Enjoys meeting people. Able to travel. Conversant and comfortable in the academic/professional world.

Graphic Designer
Responsible for: Help with designing IICS materials such as brochures, advertisements, fliers, logos, business cards, etc.
Qualifications: Professional graphic design experience. Experience in an academic or Christian setting a plus.

Responsible for: Providing professional counsel on IICS communications such as brochures, letters and advertisements.

Business Leadership Workshop Coordinator
Responsible for: Coordinating IICS sponsorship of Business Leadership Workshops and conferences at overseas universities. Recruiting business and professional leaders to participate in three-day to two-week conferences and symposia. Coordinating the logistics with the participants, IICS professors and universities.
Qualifications: Business or professional experience. Able to travel internationally. Strong communication and interpersonal relationship skills. Entrepreneur.
Term: Preferably at least two years

Editor, IICS Global Perspectives Tape Series
Responsible for: Coordinating and producing the IICS Global Perspectives Tape Series, a regularly produced (quarterly?) audiotape series. The series will feature IICS professors and interviews with their academic colleagues and students as well as various individuals who are shaping culture, society and thought around the world. Soliciting and directing interview and program segments from IICS professors. Editing. Production of the final product.
Qualifications: Broadcast and/or journalistic experience. Entrepreneur. Able to travel internationally. Strong communication and editing skills. Good organizer.
Term: Preferably at least one year
