Dr. Harold Dean Trulear
Associate Professor of Applied Theology at Howard University School of Divinity and President of GLOBE Community Ministries in Philadelphia. He has taught religion, public policy and community studies in several institutions, including Yale University, Drew University, Eastern University, Hartford Seminary, Gordon-Conwell Seminary, Fuller Seminary and the Center for Urban Theological Studies. His research interests include religion and youth, juvenile justice, African-American religion and urban ministry. He is a graduate of Morehouse College (B.A.) and Drew University (Ph.D.). Trulear has written numerous monographs, articles, essays, sermons and reviews.
Dr. Christine Schirrmacher
Professor of Islamic Studies at the Department of Religious Studies and Missiology of the Protestant University in Leuven, Belgium and a lecturer of Islam at Free Theological University in Giessen, Germany. Director of the Institute of Islamic Studies of the German Evangelical Alliance as well as an official speaker and advisor on Islam for the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA). She earned both her M.A. in Islamic Studies and her Ph.D. in Islamic Studies at the University of Bonn. She has studied Arabic, Persian and Turkish and is a member of the International Society for Human Rights, the German-Jordanian Society and a Curatorium Member of the Protestant Centre for World View Questions. She has been engaged in various dialogue initiatives with Muslim leaders and scholars. She is the author of numerous articles and several books.
