IICS has over 20 faculty teaching in higher education positions around the world. Many of them are active in additional research and publications in their field. Here are a few resources and articles written by our faculty that may be of interest to you.
- The Turnau’s Movie Night Kit
Many professors use movie nights as a way to engage students in discussions about spiritual issues. Dr. Ted Turnau has created this website as a resource for people interested in hosting a movie night. It includes how to prepare for a movie night, how to lead the discussion and his recommended movies.
- Human Rights – A Christian Primer
Dr. Thomas K. Johnson’s book on human rights will be helpful as current events cause us to reflect on the dignity of persons worldwide. The book is published in the Global Issues series of the World Evangelical Alliance.
- Teri McCarthy’s Blog
Dr. Teri McCarthy, IICS Writer-in-Residence and author of Teaching in a Distant Classroom, provides thoughts on life and her experiences living in obedience to God.
IICS Reading List
The IICS Reading List contains books and articles IICS professors are required to read before beginning their teaching assignments. These readings are designed as an integral part of an IICS professor’s orientation to promote ongoing personal, spiritual and professional growth and understanding throughout one’s IICS service overseas. We recommend these resources to others as well.
